What is Memjet technology?

Memjet is a technology company focused on developing breakthrough page-wide printheads and related components to provide low-cost, high-speed color digital printing for the industry. 

Through collaboration with our OEM partners, we address a number of commercial printing markets including wide-format graphics, CAD and packaging markets, desktop and industrial labels presses, B size digital presses, and the office workgroup market.

In the Wide Format market, Memjet is the original technology supplier of single pass printing. The technology allows commercial printers to adopt new business models designed around the improved productivity and range of applications that single pass printing enables. Best of all, this is done while achieving fantastic resolution and a competitive running cost.

Tell us about the importance and impact of using optimized specialty substrate media within the Memjet market? How does it impact and enable print?

As most inkjet users know, the best output results are a combination of the inks, substrates and printing systems. One component without the others will not achieve the optimum results. Mohawk has been working with Memjet and our OEMs for over two years to develop the best media substrates for improved print quality and to enable a wide range of applications.
