At Mohawk, being a good corporate citizen means being responsible to the people and planet that support our business.
Our commitments to environment, safety, and governance are at the core of our values.
As a Boston College Center for Corporate Citizenship member, we continue to learn best practices and further our thinking with other like-minded global companies.
We are continuously improving every aspect of our business — with an emphasis on our sustainable and social impacts.
As we continue our journey, we remain committed to our established manufacturing best practices to minimize our environmental footprint. We've also taken an honest look at the advancements we've made and realize that we can challenge ourselves to do more. This entails establishing new goals and charting the path forward to achieve them.
Mohawk is committed to a 5% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions by 2025.
Accomplishment of this goal will produce ripples beyond greenhouse gas benefits, effecting reductions in water use and waste generation as well.
We are committed to a sustainable future, we source pulp from sustainable forests, we use recycled fiber, we conserve water, and we harness wind power for our mills’ electrical energy.
Mohawk will report its performance and progress on a broader basis, to span our impact from a social and governance perspective in addition to our environmental impact. At present we are working to align our approach and communications within the framework of our strategic business partners.
Mohawk will publish its first ESG report in 2024.

You Have Our Commitment
Mohawk has endured for generations because we make decisions and innovate new products for the long term, not just the next quarter. And because we care about our community and our environment, we do all this with future generations in mind. Because at our core, we are a company of makers.
Over the last 90 years, we have worked dutifully to find ways to operate our mills in a way that is mindful of our dependence on our essential resources: fiber, water, energy — and our people.
The power of print endures and prevails only when we embrace our responsibility as its stewards and commit ourselves, our resources, employees, and partners, to create new opportunities to grow, evolve, lead, and serve.
