[Cohoes, NY — November 7, 2022] Mohawk Fine Papers, Inc., North America’s largest privately owned manufacturer of fine papers and envelopes, is proud to announce that Eric Ouderkirk, former Senior Vice President of Manufacturing, has been promoted to Chief Operating Officer.
Ouderkirk came to Mohawk from Nalco Water, an Ecolab Company, where he led a variety of teams during his 26-year tenure with the company. He was well-known to the Mohawk team before joining in September 2020, having been Mohawk’s Nalco account manager for several years and collaborating closely with Mohawk to launch their proprietary surface treatment, i-Tone®, during that time.
Joining the Mohawk leadership team was a return to Ouderkirk’s roots as his background includes ten years working in various engineering and operations positions in the pulp and paper industry. His last 25 years have been focused on water and process treatment for various industries, driving the adoption of sustainable offerings to allow customers around the globe to reduce their water and energy footprints while increasing production and quality.
Ouderkirk earned both his BS Engineering and his MBA from the State University of New York. He is a licensed Professional Engineer.
Mohawk is excited to have Ouderkirk leading the operations team with his data-driven approach that he aligns with his diverse business experience from engineering to operations, supply chain, sales, and M&A.
