Field Notes notebooks are the perfect pocket-sized book for the moment inspiration—or the need to put together a grocery list–happens to strike. Inspired by co-founder Aaron Draplin's collection of vintage agricultural notebooks, these convenient and delightful books fit perfectly into a purse or back pocket. 

Beginning in 2009, the company began to release a quarterly limited edition version of their books. And for fall 2021, their theme—'Harvest'—called for a special paper stock. And that's where Mohawk Renewal (Sustainable Collection) came in.

To compliment American artist John Burgoyne's classic illustrations of freshly-harvested grapes, corn, pumpkins, and other crops, the Field Notes Team decided to use Mohawk Renewal Hemp for their covers. Bryan Bedell, who does design, production, and photography for Field Notes, told Brand United he was looking for a paper that would be organic-looking, but consistent. Click below to read Brand United's full 'Harvest' case study.
